E3 2011: NGP now called "Playstation Vita" Details Here

Take out your wallets and check how much you got because you need start saving for Playstation Vita. Playstation Vita the new name for Sony's next handheld (previously known as NGP) made a ground breaking appearance at E3.

Vita stems from the latin word "Vita" which means life. PS Vita is trying to become the ultimate handheld to be reckoned with by combining gaming, social capabilities & a way for you to experience  the entertainment of Playstation anywhere you go. PS Vita will also introduce a collaboration with AT&T



"We know you’ve been closely following all of the news since we announced the product in January. With mobile connectivity playing a huge role in PS Vita’s interactive experience, we know many of you have been wondering what carrier will be helping us bring you closer to other users and closer to your gaming experiences on the go. Today, we proudly announced a partnership with AT&T, which powers the nation’s fastest mobile broadband network, who will serve as the exclusive service provider for PS Vita in the United States. By having both Wi-Fi and 3G/Wi-Fi models available, PS Vita will enable infinite possibilities for you to “encounter,” “connect,” “discover,” “share” and “play” with your friends wherever they are."


PS Vita has 5 inch multi-touch screen also two different models will be available at launch, a $250 model with built wifi & $300 ps vita with wifi and 3g. Some of launch titles for the vita include Uncharted: Golden Abyss, a new rpg called "Ruin" , Littlebigplanet & many more. PS Vita will also include other new features like "Livearea" will allow you to read stats, "near" alows you to view what users are playing, "Party" is where you can  text, voice chat & use the internet browser.
