Harmonix, The developers for rockband has had fans download over 100 million tracks for the Rock Band series. Since its first downloadable content in 2007."We recently hit a significant milestone; more than 100 million songs have been downloaded for Rock Band, said Rigopulos, "On behalf of Harmonix, I should probably take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to all of our fans who have propelled us to these heights and to all of the artists whose music lies at the heart of the Rock Band experience. "
Rigopulos added to that statement that over 5 million accounts have been downloading music from the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. But Harmonix has recently stopped supporting the Wii. Reasons we are unaware of. It would've made sense if they stuck with the Nintendo console seeing as their games are for the casual audience, and the wii targets the casual audience. Not to mention that the nintedo wii has sold more units then the PS3 and Xbox 360.
